Every 5,000km ... or once a month ... either/or ... they occur at the same time anyway.

Every 5000 for sure, keeps her running nice. My folks give me a hard time about it saying they don't need to service theirs until 20k but its simple, i care about my car.....they dont.

When ford did my oil changes every 10,000km the new oil was very clean, i think they flushed the engine with something. it used to stay cleaner for a while but now I service it every 5,000km and the oil seems to get dirty quicker.
BTW ford serviced my car from 40-110,000km and I never had any problems, there work was A1.

Do my oil and filter every 5000kms or 6 months.

Change my tranny fluid and engine coolant evrey year around now(sept-oct) so that it has new oil and coolant to withstand the summer tempretures.

Change my engine oil and filter every 5,000 k's, since the EF is getting a bit on now, i think it helps to keep things clean and running smooth.

Every 40,000 Kms, yeh really, Amsoil is synthetic and has 40,000 KM oil change intervals, proven running time, mind you oil change including filter is round $80.00.
Actually works out cheaper.
