bloody hell.
I've uninstalled/reinstalled just then, and the same problem. I cannot connect no matter what I do. I'm stumped, and this is my bloody speciality!

It chucked a wobbly earlier saying it couldn't log me in.. but then logged in no probs..
Another person told me they also had problems logging in (which was only 10 minutes or so ago) but then it let them... MSN is a bit bizarre most days/nights  :

Haha.
It seems to be my Host file, which I am rectifying as we speak. Should have run troubleshooter within msn before i opened my big mouth ;) I've heard alot of people say that MSN is good in bed :P

I had this exact thing happen to me yesterday and ended up being the date on my computer was wrong
Make sure you have correct time and date set on your computer or it will not work |

mine crapped itself yesterday. but if i log into the old one first then live messenger it works schweet... just no one to talk to....

the reason could be that your time is not set on your computer, sounds odd but it is a reason it may not work as it happned to me

the time and date should update it self. itll be your cache and this trick works everytime for me.....beware you lose all your custom emotions, some settings rarararar
C:\Documents and Settings\<yourname>\Application Data\Microsoft\MSN Messenger and delete everything in there

I have been having loads of problems with Live messenger for a few weeks now.
It simply says that it cannot sign me in at this current time... yet i open the OLD msn and it signs me in immediately. Otherdays live msn works perfectly.
