I have a question and I apologise if I am posting it in the wrong forum. I have a BA Fairmont Ghia. There are two lens looking objects on either side of the rear numberplate. Are these reverse lights or are they just decoration.
If they are reverse lights then I have a problem as neither of then light when in reverse. If they are not lights it certainly looks as if they are and perhaps a "mod" to place a reverse light system in there should be thought of.

I think you would find that they're there, so at night time people can see your plates, when driving.
That's what I gather anyway. |

Plastic decoration. And possibly a nuisance/expensive decoration if you dont catch the rust in the paint on the bootlid at the ends of the upper and lower chrome sections.
