My XR5 is less than 6 weeks old and i cleaned up a tree two night ago!! so i can feel your pain but a hell of alot worse :(
No massive damage but enough to require a respray a new windscreen and plenty of new panels :( Moral of the story: dont drive at night and avoid driving along dark roads..... Luc

Anyway, i'm sorry Luke that you had a mishap. I already hate it if i get a scuff mark, let alone hit a tree. Rob |

Yeah im fine, insurance is taking care of it all... I was not speeding nor was i being silly in any case!! I simply did not see the tree as all i could see was leaves and by the time i noticed the white branches of the Gum tree it was alittle too late, but i must say the brakes are fantastic on the XR5 i only hit the tree at about 30kmph so the damage is quite minimal, only minor bonnet damage and side pannel, plus alot of scratching because of the branches, and cracked windscreen.
No structual damage at all was done to the car thank goodness!! But will get her all fixed up soon enough!! Thanks for everyones comments on my driving but somethings are hard to avoid!! Luc. No Pics danny as i dont really want to remember this moment anymore!!

Oh come on!
So you mean to tell me you drove toward a big leafy entity on purpose, and realised it had a trunk at the last minute? Why would there be a tree in the middle of the road? or were you off the road doing normal cruising speed.... Doesn't add up. LOL Just stirring, You can tell me what REALLY happened later ;) hahaha |

Ive been advised that they wont respray patches they will have to respray the whole car... which bumps the price up a fair way for the insurance company.... meh.
Danny dont try and push a story out of me because what i told you want the 100% truth!! Luc
