Default How many K's has your car been?

I got an XE 'S'pack work bus 250 alloy head 4sp thats done 405,000ks and still hasnt had the head off it!

Yes its smokey and gets the death rattles if I spin it any harder than 3k rpm BUT!! It goes with every turn of the key and even the auto choke still works but I believe its had at least 1 clutch in its life and I had to replace the starter a couple of monthe ago.

Other than that its stock as a rock except the mags and seat covers!! Im only the 3rd owner and I bought it off the Neice of the original owner (a nurse in Sydney)so its history is concrete.

Can anyone top the K's and originality?? Taxi's excluded!

My 95 EF Futura has done 103xxxkms. Still on its first engine

My old mans 79 LTD has done 382000kms, but the speedo went a bit dodgy at around 110000kms, you would do a trip up to the shops and it would clock 1000kms on it. On its second engine

His escort only has 26xxx, but that's mainly due to the fact that the odo only has 5 digits. Third engine

The ZH had 396,000k's on the untouched stock 302 when I spun it a little hard on night and dropped a valve. Engine was then rebuilt with 351 crank etc etc and is still going strong.

My Ghia racked up 230000 the other day, and its running pretty damn well, no "issues".

I dont think ill sell this one in a hurry the way I am racking up the k's, although its all long that God forsaken M1 between Geelong and Melb.

'97 EL is about to hit 206,000kms.
'84 XE is a shade off 163,000kms and not going anywhere at the moment.
'06 307 has 9,500kms on it since August.

EL has had head and the front shocks replaced. Everything else is still original.
XE hasn't had any engine/gearbox work done apart from servicing and wear and tear.
The Pug is still too new.

1996 EF GLI stock standard. 3rd owner, just ticked over 282000kms and purrs like a kitten.
Last fuel check showed it returning 30.4 MPG or 9.3 Litres / 100kms. doesn't use or leak oil. Head gasket and mild shave 4 years ago, valves not touched. Only time the engine has been touched. Lovely old cruiser.

I have an XE Fairmont, alloy head carby but an auto and the odo reads 425, 000 k's.

I'ts not smokey, it runs on gas, and can make some nasty noises sometimes, it gets a horrable knocking/rattle sometimes out of the blue, and we've noticed a small piece of the carby is missing so suspect it's 'eaten' it and that's what the rattling is, who knows.

It doesn't bother me, as just like yours, it goes first time every time and has (besides a gas leak from the filler) never let me down.

The XA : 28000 miles (original). Engine has never been out of the bay.

The Pulsar : Just got past 200,000km's and the engine is noisy in the bottom end. Its death is not far away.

My parents old Mazda Van they they bought new did 27x xxxk's when the odometer stopped working..... 11 years later the sold it, up until then it was driven daily and the reason they got rid of it was the body rusted out and the brakes gave up, but the motor (diesel) was fine

My EB i have no idea, I bought it with 146 xxx on the odo but have since learned that its probably not the original odo, i've replaed the engine since then too
