Hello,
A while back I asked for some help or instructions on how to save video files that appear on youtube. I did a search and couldn't find the thread... From memory I followed the instructions but didnt get anywhere, so can somebody please give me detailed step by step instructions?? Or send a link for a site that you have used and trusted that explains the same issue?? I know you need to down load some software apparently but when I did that last time the download was a virus.. probably half the reason why I stopped trying... I got about a week of free super high speed internet here at work so I want to get my moneys worth lol PS I got both IE and MF Thanx in advance! |

I got a cool site for ya:
www.mymobileclips.com If you register with the free option, you're a bit limited... depends on what you want to do with it. I use it to put youtube video clips on my phone, works REALLY well. Bascially, you can enter a youtube link... pick the highest res/highest bitrate settings... pick a format (mp4 or 3gp) and submit it.... the website goes away and grinds for a while... then gives you a link in your 'inbox' to save the video as a mp4 or 3gp. Also restricted to 10mins of video i think?? I use it, because i have no choice to install actual software... so the web based solution works well for me.

You can get a plugin for good ol' Firey that automaticly downloads them when you veiw the vids...

You can download clips with the Video downloader extension for Firefox
https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/2390/ You then rename the file youve downloaded with .flv on the end. Tha will allow you to view it with Riva FLV Player http://www.download.com/Riva-FLV-Pla...=uo&tag=button If you want to watch the clips on Windows Media Player you can convert the files to mpg by simply renaming the .flv files to .mpg with Riva FLV Encoder http://www.download.com/Riva-FLV-Enc...=dl&tag=button |
