Hey all,

Are these any good ?

FORD AU-1 TOP GUN IGNITION LEADS PREMIUM 9MM

Is it REALLY worth changing them from stock ? Would i notice the difference when driving, or will it help the car last longer, run smoother ...?

i was trying to listen to the jazz channel today but the rece[ption was a bit ordinary and i was getting interferance. from i presume the electrics in the car. high pitch note rising with revs... was killer at full throttle :

I got the TG 9mm ones on my 6 a while ago, but have since changed them back for standard TGs (8mm) as they developed a bad miss. The 9mm internals are no different - they just have an extra 1mm of silicon outer layer. Internals are the same spiral wind found on the 8mm and 10mm leads. On a standard car, the 8mm do the job just fine - on a turbo application etc where heat is an issue, the extra silicon in the jacket may help to keep the leads working longer.

over stock, you may notice an improvement. Better idle less rougher running.
Also the top guns are about half the resistance of the standard ones, so there a better spark with top guns

Cheers

Think mine are top gun 8mm

I've been told it's good to change them at 60,000 to 80,000 as the stock ones are pretty crappy.
Now have color coded eagle eliminator gold series 9mm leads on it
Had the same on the forte years back. No radio reception dramas, slightly better starting and longer life. cost me 45 dollars
