Do you need the airbag? If so, then yes, it's a good price (airbag alone is worth over $500 new, around $350 from FTG). If you don't need the airbag, then you can get the balck/red momo for around $200, and a can of black vinyl spray for around $15 to spray your current airbag, which is half the price for the same effect. Momo shifter is between $60 and $100, depending on if your car is manual or auto.

No, not easy to get ESS working.

Not easy. It IS possible.

One thing you would need to do is to get a TE/TS50 auto solenoid fitted to allow the ESS control to hold first gear. That's around $400 or so, but without it, it doesn't matter what you do on the electronics front, the suto will NOT hold first. The guy that is developing a control box for the electronic dide of things (at reasonable cost) was now looking at having ESS for 2-3-4, instead of 1-2-3. the issue he i shaving at the moment is a lot of interference on the earthing side of things - the gears will shift, but they are slow to react to the button presses.

So.....it's getting there, but slowly. So far it's been around 18months, but the light at the end of the tunnel is approaching (here's hoping it's not a train, lol).
