Found these 2 comments interesting:

The long-wheelbase TL50 is so scarce that it's worth precisely what somebody is prepared to pay for it.

Competition
In terms of big, powerful Australian sedans, only HSV's range of hot rods really comes close. But thanks to the Tickford's lesser reputation, it's the bargain of the two and, in many regards, the better vehicle.

Good article. Kind of a nothing one though.

Was a huge fan of the bit about how the 220kw versions are almost as good dollar for dollar though!!!! :

It doesn't make sense

In the "what to pay" shows he really doesn't
TE50 still fetch $30-$40k and more with options then the high ball, TS50 is closer to $50k !
Shows he really didn't do the research but lets hope he got some future suckers :

No it was dated the 20/07/04 so the review is just over 2 1/2 years old which makes the prices about right at the time.

But still a nice write up.

Nice write up and pretty fair review overall. in 2000 I really wanted a TL50 and now I am buying a Presara so it shows I am getting old but also the changes in the world.

The resale value is horrendus if you bought one new! i remember the missus bitchin about the price and insisting I got something more sensible and cheaper.
