Default Extractor length

I did a search but no direct answer!! I want to fit extractors to my car, but its on gas and the mixer is in the way. I was wondering if anyone could measure their extractors and the length of the outlets, the extractors i'm after are the pacemaker comps and i'm worried they may not fit due to the mixer being in the way!!

Paccie comps (4480s??) cannot be fitted with LPG, but apparently the other ones can (4499s??). The pacemaker fitting guide actually tells you which ones you can use or not.

They can be fitted its just that the location of the factory gas and most aftermarket LPG systems the convertor will be in the way and you will need to move it to fit them. If your convertor is on your shock tower on your exaust side the comps 4480 won't fit.

I have the pacemaker 4499s with an impco setup and they fit fine.

Which one of the paccies are better the 4480's or the 4499's????

Depends on what you mean by better? For an LPG setup, I would think the 4499s are better, as they produce more lown down torque than the 4480s. The 4480s are better for upper range breathing, but if you haver a mixer ring setup, you won't be able to take full advantage of them anyway, so the 4499s would be the pick for me, running LPG mixer ring. 4480s if you have VSI.

That's VSI (Vapour Sequential injection). So whichever ones fit would be OK for yours, but the 4480s are better suited to high revs/high speed than the 4499s, which are better for low down torque.

I have factory LPG ... and I thought my Pacies 4499s wouldn't fit ... there is atill bugger all room.

I was going to move the converter forward a little bit to allow the extractors to fit ... but I didn't need to as there was enough room to fit the 4499s .... JUST.

But if you have anaftermarket LPG system ... measuerements are going to be different ... if your converter is smaller than the Factory LPG Vialle's .... the 4499's will fit ... just used your old exhaust manifold heat shield and have it bent over the new extractors.

Got pics of your engine bay on the exhaust side so we can see how large your converter is???

Oh ... I forgot to mention ... usually in the older style mixer ring setup LPG systems you lose a fair bot of top-end due to intake throttling for the LPG system ... so the 4499's are better suited for low-down torque increase ... and better drivability. The 4480's are better for manual vehicles anyway as you can build revs quicker and easier than autos too.
